POLQM LABORATORY QUALITY CONFERENCE JUNE 19&20, 2023

 

For the 10th time in our history, The Program Office for Laboratory Quality Management (POLQM) will be hosting a laboratory quality conference which will held this year from June 19-20th, 2023. For the first time in its history, the conference will adopt a hybrid delivery model and participants and speakers are welcome to join us at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health, 2215 Wesbrook Mall on the UBC campus in Vancouver, BC, Canada, or join online via zoom.

Our conference theme is “Ensuring quality in a changing diagnostic landscape”. This would be a professional development and learning opportunity for you and we are applying CSMLS and UBC CPD credits for this conference.

Abstract submission opened on March 15th and we welcome your submission and poster presentation. Please visit our conference website for details.

DOCTORAL EXAMS CHAIRS 2022 (PALM)

 

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the faculty members who served as Chairs for doctoral examinations between January and December 2022. PATHOLOGY DAY - JUNE 1, 2023 This year's Pathology Day will feature lectures and keynotes on artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on machine learning, deep learning and related approaches topic. Mark your calendars and get ready to connect with researchers in your community.

Please note that on June 1st, the DHPLC will be open all day for drop-ins, hosted by Jen Kong and Gang Wang. Although this is not officially a part of Pathday, it is an excellent opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt activity. Additionally, there are several activities planned within the David Hardwick Pathology Learning Centre, including: four medical mysteries written as short case-based learning, a scavenger hunt, and a talk from 2-3 pm.
