  • [Notice of intent deadline: April 26, 2022.] New Frontiers in Research Fund has launched Special Call: "Research for Post-Pandemic Recovery," aiming to mobilize Canadian-led research efforts in support of a more equitable, sustainable and resilient postpandemic reality.   • Congratulations to Dr. David Huntsman for the renewal of Dr. Chew Wei MBBS [HK] FRCOG [ENG] Memorial Professorship. Dr. Chew Wei Memorial Prize in Cancer Research is given by the University of British Columbia.
  • Zhenwei Ma has been awarded a Killam Postdoctoral Fellowship. Congratulations! As a trainee, she will work independently under the mentorship of Professor Zu-Hua Gao.
  • Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation is proud to recognize Dr. Carolyn Shiau as the 2021 Champion of Philanthropy. A physician lead for the COVID-19 vaccine roll out, Dr. Carolyn Shiau has shown exceptional communication and collaborative skills. She identified opportunities to involve donors in the immunization effort and was outstanding while answering their vaccine questions.
